Warriors lost despite 50 points from Curry

Despite a 50-point performance by Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors failed again on the road, this time against the Los Angeles Clippers, while the Los Angeles Lakers, without Anthony Davis, suffered a serious setback against the Houston Rockets, bottom of the West.

CLIPPERS 134 – WARRIORS 126

With a dismal 7-27 away from San Francisco, the Warriors added their ninth consecutive loss away from home, ruining an exhibition of Curry, fabulous with 20 of 28 from the field and 8 of 14 in three-pointers.

Kawhi Leonard (30 points and 8 rebounds) and Paul George (24 points and 7 assists) joined forces in this key duel for the playoffs in the West, which also gave the Clippers their fourth consecutive victory.

ROCKETS 114 – LAKERS 110

Orphaned without the injured LeBron James and without Anthony Davis due to rest, the Lakers crashed in Houston in a game in which they were down by 18 points already in the second quarter and ended with a dismal shooting performance (37.8% from the field, 25% in three-pointers).

Kevin Porter Jr. (27 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists) led the Rockets to victory, Austin Reaves (24 points and 7 assists) was the best for the Lakers and Spaniard Usman Garuba contributed 2 points and a rebound for Houston.

CAVALIERS 109 – SIXERS 118

Fantastic with six consecutive wins, the Sixers pulled out in Cleveland a sharp game for the East playoffs thanks to Joel Embiid, unstoppable with 36 points and 18 rebounds.

Caris LeVert (24 points and 6 assists) was the most accurate of the Cavaliers in which the Spaniard Ricky Rubio did not play due to rest.

SPURS 128 – MAVERICKS 137

Still without the injured Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the Mavericks bounced back from three straight losses with an unconvincing overtime win over the Spurs.

Christian Wood (28 points and 13 rebounds) and Keldon Johnson (27 points and 8 rebounds) led Dallas and San Antonio, respectively.

BULLS 114 – KINGS 117

With a three-pointer with 0.7 seconds left for 32 total points, De’Aaron Fox, an expert at sealing games at the end, gave the Kings their fourth win in the last five games in Chicago.

DeMar DeRozan (33 points) was the Bulls’ leading scorer against the Kings, who overtook the Grizzlies for second place in the West.

HEAT 138 – GRIZZLIES 119

After learning that Ja Morant was suspended for eight games, the Grizzlies suffered their second setback of the day in Miami, where the Heat overwhelmed them with an overwhelming 59.8% shooting from the field and with Bam Adebayo (26 points and 8 rebounds) leading seven players above 10 points.

Jaren Jackson Jr. (25 points and 9 rebounds) stood out for Memphis and Spanish Santi Aldama contributed 5 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
