Kevin Holland enters for Darren Till to fight Vettori at UFC Fight Night on April 10

Middleweight contender Holland will face Marvin Vettori in the five-round main event bout of UFC Fight Night on April 10 in Las Vegas, sources told ESPN.

Vettori’s scheduled opponent, Darren Till, withdrew Tuesday due to a broken collarbone.

Holland just fought on March 20, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Derek Brunson in another main event fight. Holland’s 21-day return will tie him with Deiveson Figueiredo and Michael Bisping for the shortest time between two main event fights in UFC history. Figueiredo did it last December and Bisping did it in 2017.

Holland (21-6) had a 5-0 record in 2020, the most wins in a calendar year for a UFC middleweight fighter and tied Roger Huerta and Neil Magny for the most in any division.

Along with his frequent brawling, the Texas fighter is known for talking trash during his fights. Against Brunson, Holland was chatting with UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who was seated next to the cage. Holland, 28, has won eight of his last 10 fights overall.

Vettori (16-4-1) is ranked eighth at middleweight in ESPN’s rankings. The Italian is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Jack Hermansson in December. Vettori, 27, has won four straight fights and his only loss in his last seven fights was to current UFC bantamweight champion Israel Adesanya.
