James leaves game due to apparent injury

“I felt a groin spasm,” LeBron James said at a post-game press conference.

LeBron assured that he didn’t do anything strenuous on the play, but he felt the discomfort in his groin, so he decided to come out.

Both coach Darvin Ham and James himself confirmed that he will undergo tests on Thursday to know the extent of the injury.

LeBron had been dealing with discomfort in his left leg. In fact, he missed the previous game against the Utah Jazz in preparation for the game against the Clippers.

LeBron’s effort was not enough to help his team to a victory. On the eve of his 38th birthday, James was still the top scorer for the Lakers with 30 points in the loss.

“I never worry about finding my rhythm in my game because I do the work and preparation every day. I also don’t worry about my body because I do the work required. My body will let me know when it’s time to go and I’ll be ready,” added LeBron.

The bad news for the Angelinos continues as they have a record of just two wins and nine losses, in addition to not having players like Lonnie Walker IV, Dennis Schroder and Thomas Bryant due to injury or illness. Now, there’s the question of how LeBron fares for what’s ahead.

“You have to keep your head above water when things don’t look so good. Leadership isn’t chosen for certain days, it’s daily. We’ll have bad moments, we’re human, but it starts with holding ourselves accountable first and hopefully that reflects on others,” LeBron finished.
