Players remaining on the free agent list
With a portion of the large contracts that were expected to be delivered during the start of Major League Baseball’s free agency already awarded, attention is now turning to other players who could fill important holes in each of the squads.
According to Spotrac.com, a website specialized in providing statistics and data on the contracts of professional athletes with their respective teams, approximately 353 players are still in free agency, with Carlos Correa, Carlos Rodón and Dansby Swanson as the three names that generate the most interest within the group. However, amidst that large number, there are also several Dominican players who at some point have been able to make a difference for their teams before reaching free agency.
The criteria used to include players in the list is that they must have played at least one game at the Major League level since 2020 to date, leaving out those who have not played in MLB for a longer period of time or minor league players who were released without having had playing time in the “Big Tent”.
