Curry (foot pain) leaves game against Celtics

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry was ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday night’s game against the Boston Celtics due to a sore left foot, the team announced.

Curry injured his foot with 4:17 left in the second quarter when the Celtics’ Marcus Smart fell on the Warriors’ leg as the two battled for a loose ball.

After getting up, Curry tried to ignore the pain. He was then watched on the bench during the timeout that followed, but instead of returning to the court, he ran back to the locker room.

His return was first labeled questionable, but after being ruled out during halftime, he was demoted to out.

Curry had just three points on 1-of-4 shooting in 14 minutes before exiting.
