Kupp to celebrate his award at Disneyland

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp won’t be alone when he celebrates his Super Bowl MVP award with a small parade at Disneyland.

Kupp will be joined by teammates Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald this Monday afternoon.

“I’m going to Disneyland,” Kupp declared at his Super Bowl MVP press conference this Monday morning, wearing a red jersey with a little Mickey Mouse on the left side of his chest. “I guess cross-country travel won’t happen today,” he noted in reference to traveling to Disney World, which is located in Orlando, Fla.

After their 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium, Kupp turned to the television cameras, along with Stafford, Donald and their families, to shout, “We’re all going to Disneyland!”

It was the first time in history that three Super Bowl players had appeared together in the famous Disney commercial.

Kupp received the Super Bowl MVP award after racking up eight receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns, plus a crucial 7-yard carry in the fourth quarter.

During the regular season, Kupp finished as the NFL leader in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947) and touchdown receptions (16).

However, the celebration could postpone Kupp’s Valentine’s Day celebration with his wife.

“I think she deserves everything, I’m very grateful to her for everything she’s done for me, I’m sure we have something fun planned, I don’t know if it will be today,” he indicated. “We might push Valentine’s Day back a few days.”

Kupp noted that it’s amazing to not only win the championship, but to get it in his own stadium.

“To be able to win it [the Super Bowl] at home, at SoFi [Stadium], I don’t know if I could have written it better,” he said.

Kupp also acknowledged the work and deservingness of fellow veterans like Eric Weddle, who came out of retirement, Odell Beckham Jr, Andrew Whitworth and Donald, who also won their first NFL championship.

“A lot of guys have a lot of respect for the sport, they’ve done a great job,” he said. “We’ve won this because of them.”
