NFL Playoffs: Los Angeles Rams and Joe Burrow

From Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals’ upset victory to Jimmy Garoppolo’s possible last game with the San Francisco 49ers.

A) The Bengals qualified for their first Super Bowl since 1988. Down 18 points, Cincinnati never lost their composure, thanks in part to the incredible mettle of their leader Burrow. The defense allowed no receptions to Tyreek Hill in the second half. Jessie Bates and Vonn Bell shined.

B) After good start, it was free fall for Chiefs when Patrick Mahomes fumbled late in 1st half and they didn’t score. The QB played a complement to forget, lost patience and got unnecessary and costly catches. KC lost incredible game they had dominated.

C) Paragraph aside for the phrase “left too much time on the clock”. While it may be true at times, you always have to call plays to pass up front and not think about not allowing the opponent time. The Chiefs were at the 3-yard line and ended up settling for a 44-yard FG.

D) The Rams will play the Super Bowl at home. Down 10 points early in the fourth quarter, Matthew Stafford showed what he was brought in for and connected time and time again with his favorite target Cooper Kupp. The ground defense was phenomenal and Aaron Donald got the decisive pressure.

E) The 49ers exceeded expectations this year. Jimmy Garoppolo surely played his last game for San Francisco. They have ground DNA and couldn’t run the ball. They are going to dream about the interception dropped by Jaquiski Tartt. Deebo Samuel deserves a blank check.

F) Paragraph aside for the aggressiveness of the Rams franchise. They traded multiple 1st round picks, and aren’t afraid of criticism. Jalen Ramsey, Von Miller, Odell Beckham Jr, Matthew Stafford, Sony Michel. All crucial to success. I applaud the team’s boldness.
