Free agent forward Blake Griffin signed a contract and reached an agreement with the Nets for the remainder of the season, Sam Goldfeder, his agent told Excel Basketball.
Blake, who is 31, determined a buyout of his contract with the Pistons and was visiting Waivers over the weekend.

Although several teams were very interested in signing Blake Griffin, who has been drafted 6 times to the All-Star Game, he decided to be signed by the Nets, who are looking to take home the title.

Griffin gives the Nets more height at the top of the order behind DeAndre Jordan, the team envisions him as a center coming off the bench.

Injuries have drastically affected Blake’s performance, eliminating the attacks at the rim that marked his career. He now relies on three-pointers and his ability to help his teammates.

Griffin has averaged 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 20 games with Detroit this season.
